1:26 am - Clawcast X-Post: Clawcast Episode 3: What is Furry?
www.clawcast.com

Okay, we promised to deliver another episode for you last week and stretching into the wee hours of the night I have overcome we have prevailed. Our newest member of the podcast family weighs in around an hour and was recorded on location at Zim's. The sound quality may be a little iffy again but to make up for you we have a new awesome theme song you can enjoy between our breaks.

The contents of the cast are as follows.

Clawcast Episode 3: What is Furry?

Turn up those speakers and headphones for the exciting third episode of Clawcast! Zim finally hops on for the discussion of the latest furry news, the state of affairs on Furaffinity, the Krystal sandwich meme, and more. Find out about the "Hello Kitty" treatment, the "furry epidemic rumor," and other news from the fandom and around the world before the answer to the ultimately broad and burdensome question of "What is Furry?" This episode is also complete with several honorable mentions from the Clawcast forums!

1:00 am - Clawcast X-post: Episode 1: Fur & Loathing in Pittsburgh
Get all of this info and stuffery at www.clawcast.com!

-------------------------------------

Hurrah and Huzzah! Well, those words would be placed a lot better if I was at a renaissance fair. Oh well, they shall be made appropriate.

Our first episode, lovingly titled ‘Fur & Loathing in Pittsburgh’ should, with all hope, be available not only on the link on this post but also through iTunes and other podcast related sites. Our show notes are as follows.

Episode 1: Fur and Loathing in Pittsburgh Travelcast

Hosts Flain and Scry venture into the world of Anthrocon 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA. This episode is a summary of the convention’s highlights and offerings, including commentary from other convention attendees such as popular furry artist Fossil, “that guy who was running away from Kage,” and Kiran Lightpaw of Furry Weekend Atlanta and Rocket City Furmeet staff. Also featuring an exclusive interview with David Lillie and Liz Thomas, creators of the up-and-coming Dreamkeepers comic.

12:56 am - Clawcast Xpost: A Status Update
Hey gang, just a few little updates here for you.

The first “official” episode is somewhat in hiatus. Zim’s main computer decided after we had purchased a new soundboard and everything that it had given up on life and supposedly the boot sector of the hard drive failed. He is in the process now of trying to get everything changed over to a new hard drive. What this means is that any real sit down discussion podcasts are out of the question until that is resolved, which should not be too long.

This does lead to one positive aspect. I recently acquired a friggin’ sweet digital voice recorder. This should allow us to go around and do some interviews in person at conventions and the like.

Therefore, because of this we will perform a introductory episode at Anthrocon this year, obtaining interviews. Zim will be unable to attend so for the most part the recording will be done by Scry and I. We intend it to be a very high content show and though it will not be our normal format, it should not disappoint at all. If all goes according to plan, expect that to hit middle to late next week.

If any are going to be visiting Anthrocon and wish us to harass the living daylights out of you, we will be around. Just hassle our friend Bonk in the dealer’s room and he should be able to hunt us down like the retired bounty hunter he is.

3:55 pm - Video Help
Hey guys, I'm looking to get some help from the community.

I'm looking at getting up a webpage of my own in the next few weeks. I needed to see if anyone has in photos of me in action (or out of action for that matter) and particularly videos of any of my stand up and improv performances. if I use your video I will make sure to cite it but I really, really would love to get a copy.

Just comment on this and I'll get in touch with you.

Thanks.

Some individuals ask me, "Flain, what is the legislative system of avians like?" Well, unlike our mammal counterparts, this IM session with Four the Bear illustrates the relative ease of our system.

Just a quick update on whats happened in life.

24th birthday level-up
New Skill: Mouse Flail/ Keyboard Shield Combo
New Skill: Psychology: [Girlfriend]
New Skill: Cooking
New Skill: +1 to Ant Invasion Defense

My parents have decided that after 30 years of marriage they are getting a divorce. I really can't say I'm surprised since my parents have been at end with one another for years. I think that a combination of factors, primarily my exit from the house, my sisters about to leave the house, and my oldest brother's death, pushed the relationship over the edge. It upset me for a short period of time and I still can't believe some of the retarded shit my sisters says my parents are now doing, but I just kind of shrug and get on with it.

The lady and I have moved to our new apartment. It's actually in the same complex as two of our friends and I have been enjoying the ability to go get my social outing just by crossing the street.

Christmas kinda blew. I got some nice presents but the holiday was kind of set to be ruined from the start. Between working at Hallmark and being surrounded by Christmas merchandise since August (not joking), an awkward dinner with the family, and a Dirty Santa game that I consider was muddled by family politics, it came and went with a bit of relief.

FWA quickly approaches. I intend of having a nice time this year. I have several out of town friends coming in and I wish to entertain them and have fun. It's going to finally be nice to enjoy the convention I helped found. Oh, and another thing. FRIDAY @ MIDNIGHT. Untitled-2 is showing. You are VERY compelled to show.

That is all.

2:13 pm - Reboot
Hey gang,

It's been eons since I uploaded a note of my life on here. I guess there is multiple reason for it.

In one case I feel that there is not much to talk about. Life is life, I really see nothing fantasmic about my life that I wish to place it out there on the world to see. My days consist of waking up, making up some breakfast for me and the girl, then either work or school.

On the other hand I don't see using my journal as a stepping board of my own beliefs. Over the years I have adopted a very non-confrontational method of letting people have their opinion about things uncontested except for issues I feel passionately about, which are few and far between.

But, I digress, I will attempt to allow everyone a little more of a window into my life without making something horrendously long.

First off, I politely appologize to my viewing audience for that last paragraph of my previous entry. It seems to have caused several people to have brain anurisims to think of me as a sexual creature. I will go ahead and reveal that I am as anatomially correct as a Ken doll and I reproduce through osmosis. Hope that clears up some difficulty.

Anyway, jut a few days out from coming back to the states. I just finished my final exam for Anthropology and all I really have left to do is Machu Pichu. We leave for that tomarrow, come back late Monday, and I fly out Tuesday afternoon. Luckily because of expert placements of airplane arival times I get a nice 10 hour layover in Lima before heading to Atlanta. I should be back early on Wendsday morning. On ariving home I expect several things, two of which will be driving my car recklessly down the highway and eating food that will ause me to have a heart attack at 19. You know, American things.

Anyway, I need to head out for pizza. Or what these people claim is people. Nothing ever tastes the same as it does in America. If I could replace these bland and dry burritos with something akin to Moe´s I would be in a happy place.

Anyway, I´m out creeps. Talk to and see you all soon.

12:36 pm - More from Peru
Trip is more than half over here and a good dose of home snickness has set in. Man, what I would do to have a hamburger that was actually devioid of ham in it. So far its been okay. The dry climate makes my lips chap like a mo-fo and I had a nice little sunburn the other day that has decided today is the day to peel.

In other news is t-minus 2 days to the Peruvian Independance day and I have to say that people have come in from all over the damn city to congregate in the plaza. Tons of people. I´ll attempt to take a picture of it all.

Also, I could live without the hourly cannon fire from the hill right now. They start at like 6:20 AM and go all through the day followed by chruch bells ringing for a solid 3 minutes straight. If I didn´t know better I would think I´m in an islamic country.

Well, need to wind up for lunch. I got a few presents for some and if anyone wants anything andf its not too huge or expensive I might be able to pull it.

And finally, spiralfeathers. When I get home I´m going to drill inside of you. And I assure you this WILL be in the life affirming way. Daddy needs some nookie. @.-

Later all.

8:11 am - Peru and stuff
Hey gang, giving you all an update on me. Still alive and just enjoyed some breakfast down here. Too bady the damn coffee shops don´t open for breakfast until 10 AM. I was really gunning for some java to perk me up this morning.

Yesterday was a lot of museum tours and the like. Went to the Inca museum, a church that touted the best carved Catholic pedastil in all of South America (yawn) and the only Inca rulers fortress. Finally we headed up to see Sacsaywhomañ, which is pronounced almost exactly like ´Sexy woman´. Much of joking insued. Afterwards we walked back down the mountian it was on and I ate alone at a local Asian resturant because everyone else left me behind :( Oh well, was still fine and I got a free entree. Rock!

Anyway, today is pretty simple - Horseback riding for 6 hours -.-. If I´m sore as a feind after this I hear there are some good massage parlors in town.

Anyway, need to rocket off soon. Hope you all are doing fine in the States and I love you spiralfeathers. Later all!

8:10 pm - Day 2 - Cusco
Hola gang. Sitting in an internet cafe here just down the hill from my hotel is Cusco. Today has been very diferent. I wouldn´t consider the daze I was in culture shock as much as just feeling displaced.

Anyway, got to Cusco at 7:04 (8:04 EST). Was so happy to get here since I spent 5 hours of layover in an airport in Lima where I semi-sucessfully fell asleep on a freezing cold stone floor using stolen Delta blankets and pillows. It was really one dan shock when the pilot anounced that the temperature currently was 27 degrees... ferenheight (or whatever its spelled dont care right now). Needless to say it was damn, damn cold. Anyway, got to my hotel and chilled and slept before going to see the cathedral, the squares, and the market. Have to say I have been feeling some altitude sickness but its been slight compared to the large number of people who got really sick.

Anyway, all is well minus being tired and not having a decent shower in over a day. spiralfeathers, I love you. It will all be fine and Ill be home soon. I miss you so much. Thats one of the really crummy things right now is I am feeling really lonely here and if you were by my side it will be a lot better.

Anyway, I´m off ladies. Catch you soon.

Oh, PS again - Internet cafe here only has MSN messenger. So if you wish to try and catch me while I´m in Peru, try that. I´ll probaby be on around 8-10 EST.

12:51 am - Great Adventure: Day 1 (Lima, Peru)
Hey Gang, I`m currently sitting in a cyber cafe in the Lima airport. Just incase you guys didn`t know I am taking a two week long study abroad course in Peru.

It was nice spending what time I could with spiralfeathers. After finally being seen off we packed into the airplane and enjoyed a long ass 6 hour flight. Can not complain because I had a window seat and such, keeps me occupied. Anyway, arrived here just before midnight and getting through customs and all and getting our new tickets pushed us later. I am so tired right now and dealing with a slight bit of culture shock. I will be okay, just not really sure what will happen. Heh, it is kinda like going crazy I guess.

Anyway, love to my girl and all my homies. I{ll try and keep you all informed. Peace!

PS- Their keyboards are freekin goofy! Picture when I get back of it.

4:05 pm - 4th Goof off Gaming!
Hey gang, how would you enjoy an update and such?

Yesterday was a good Fourth of July in my book. It was the first session of a Jadeclaw game I started up in the Kennesaw area. The game was pretty damn good, not just in my book but from the players’ POV as well. Somewhat sad I can’t host another one before I head out on my trip. I’ll give everyone a nice laydown on what happened.

----------------
Characters: Robber Bunny, Tradesman Hedgehog, Metal Caster/ Engy Crane, and Storyteller Bat.

Opens with the crew joining the baroness of the town I started them in. They were hired hands because of an upcoming festival. First they were told to take care of some raiders that were on the road to the north. They spent some time in town; primarily getting the bunny some armor with the town’s seal on it in the hope the guards would be more receptive to him. After dealing with that they finally headed north and found the raiders along the road. Unfortunately the raiders found them as well and a standoff occurred between the creek separating them. The players decided to begin an intricate plan to sneak into the raider’s camp, still not sure if this is the party they need to take out. After a few blunders and two raiders moving over to the players’ camp and snooping around the robber was able to sneak up and capture the leader and intimidated him enough to have him kick the other bandit who was resisting there to drop his axe. They rounded up the raiders, obtained the loot (some was pilfered by less noble players), and actually bound the raiders together and had them led nearly naked into town. Let’s say it created a little spectacle. The Baroness was pleased at the capture but questioned their motives.

Their next mission was to obtain some fireworks that had been stolen for the festival that was the very next day. The team split up with the robber finding a small bunny child that was acting suspicious, the trader and engy tracking the scent of a child near the firework hut, and the storyteller getting plastered in the tavern. Returning to the slums the location of the child was found and they confronted him. The child resisted giving the fireworks back, as he was planning to sell them to release his father. Unfortunately the goods were not selling because they were too “hot” to sell. After a promise by the robber that they would get his dad back, they returned the fireworks and prepared to negotiate with the local crimelord for a release on the father for 35 pieces. However, the crimelord had the group surrounded and stated the price was 70 pieces. Through some lucky rolls the trader was able to gamble with the crimelords into dropping the price to the original 35. The father was returned but the entire family was brought to the Baroness to discuss the crime and possible repayment.

Funny and not necessarily true info:

The Baroness eats people!

The game has a robber that can scare the pants off of adults but children look at him and stick their tongue out.

The only injury in the whole game was a piece of metal that smacked into the storytellers face, complements of a botched roll from our resident metal caster.

The entire party is rather noble. Though it is really interesting to hear a robber promise to help a child, turn his back, and figure out if he could just turn the kid in because it’s easier.

I’m probably forgetting more but my mind evades me.
